| The road from Luang Nam Tha via Müang Sing to China
touches the old town on its SE-edge and is nowadays the real centre. The houses in this area are made out of concrete and bricks. |

Although the main trade routes from Thailand via Laos to
China will not touch Müang Sing, it is to be seen,
that there is an economic boom. In 1993 there was only one hotel,
1996 this had increased to four and there are still more under construction.
Tourism is growing. - Electricity is available during a few hours at night. | |
